I can't stand McDonalds But.......

I have never really cared for McDonalds. It has never been one of my favorite places to eat but you have to admire their marketing strategy. Now that my daughter is 13 months old and mobile we really no longer go out and eat at a nice “sit down” restaurant. She is good for about 10 mins. and then after that she is bored and ready to run around. I have never wanted to be one of those parents that just let their kids cry or scream while they just go on and eat oblivious to the racket their child is causing. Sunday my wife and I were out doing some shopping and needed to get some food. We happened by a McDonalds with a play area in it and then it clicked. McDonalds has it going on. As crazy as it seems, it was one of the most peaceful meals we have had in a long time. My wife and I just sat down and ate while my daughter was in heaven. It’s not something that I would want to do all of the time but I guess I never really realized how good of a system they have.

So here’s to you McDonalds. Good job!

Britt

P.S. found out my daughter loves vanilla milkshakes

And then, 8-10 hours later, you paid for that silence, didn't you?

I can't even stomach McDonald's anymore. I can hold it down better than White Castle, but, yuk...

(At least Chik-Fil-A has play pens too, right?)

Kids develope a kinda 6th sense about McD's. Wait until she gets big enough to utter a few words. You will be quietly driving down the road, thinking she is asleep in her car seat when all of a sudden ..... her eyes pop wide open and she screams at the top of her lungs ...
" MAC RONAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLDDDDSSSS ".

It's gonna scare the crap outta ya because you were in "the zone" and you will wonder what brought that on in the first place. A mile later you will see the Golden Arches with a play area !!

The only thing I ever get at Mcdonalds is a Rootbeer and a McChicken, I will never eat fries from any fast food resturant again that has there fries made at McCain foods(McD,BK,Arbys,Wendys,etc).. My dad worked up at Mc Cain foods as a Maintince contractor and he has seen stuff that should never been seen in that kind of food proccesing place, Cockroaches crawling oout of machines, couple month old potato skins on the conveyer that they never cleaned. He also has work at Tyson chicken in Pa as a Mechanical Sub-contractor and has seen how they make all the chicken products for the stores and fast food places, Which is alot cleaner then the way they make the potatoe products.

man, i was raised on mickey d's. on that video, "supersize me", the guy threw-up after eating a super-sized meal. i couldnt help but laugh. i could eat nothing but mc donalds for the rest of my life, which coincidentaly wouldnt be too long when i worked at walmart, i would eat at least 4 mc donalds burgers a day. 1 cheeseburger on each break and a double quarter-pounder super-sized meal on lunch break. yum yum!
