How to skin a cat?

Ok not figuratively speaking, although I am certain I could accomplish that if the urgent need arose.

What my question is... without killing my neighbors cat, how can I get him to stop peeing on my doors and BBQ Grill? I am NOT a cat lover by any means but do not begrudge anyone who is. Killing a neighbors pet is something I would prefer to avoid but I am not going to tolerate this situation much longer.

This cat must walk half a mile to circle my house and do his nasty deed. One of my neighbors has 2 females that have hunted on my land for years and I harbor no ill will toward them, but this Tom cat MUST be stopped.

I do not put out poison bait like I used to for the skunks, possums, raccoons and other disease carrying vermin out of respect for my neighbors cats but I am just about at my wits end here.

I ordered a "have a heart" trap but even if I do catch him, I suppose my options are still limited. Anyone dealt with this issue and know a NON LETHAL cure?

Get another dog, M4...

Small rat traps around his walking grounds? I did that with some cats and my front porch...

I have a "Have a heart" motion sprinkler that works like a charm on the dogs. I remember a looong time ago that my babysitter had a problem with stray dogs. She put some yellow paste on their "boy parts" and I'll tell you, I've never seen a dog run that fast. I would assume Icy Hot would do the same thing.

red ryder BB gun ... if it can shot your eye out it will get rid of the cat.

Air soft gun works paintball gun also. I have a pump pellet gun that if I do one pimp it stings but wont break the skin. Spry it with the hose every time you see will do it to.

if its the same spot(s) every time, they make an enzyme cleaner specifically for pet urine. spray the area down where it keeps doing it and the scent will go away. when i used to have carpet, it was the only way to keep my pups from going in the corner every time.

if its different spots each time, im with 'hat, get a dog

No I don't have a clue who he belongs to and I am not certain I have even seen him. Just tracks in the snow right now, a complete circle around my house and then into the woods.

2 things. There is a product called "No mark spray" that may help. The other thing is to get the cat neutered. Toms that are neutered don't spray much, if at all. I figure you have a good knife around somewhere. Combine that with a bandage and some neosporin and you should be spray free.

Actually read somewhere that they spray because they are agitated. Guess there are therapists out there that can counsel the poor thing, calm it down, and reduce the mess. Hey, at only a $100/hour might be worth it. ;-)

...can you imagine taking a pet to a therapist? No wonder health care is so messed up.

If you scare him away a few times he will probably stay away. My dog used to take tissues out of bathroom garbage can. I wrapped duct tape around business end of mouse trap so not to hurt him and placed it on top with tissue over it. Should have seen his face when he came into other room, lol.

Our neighbor had a female, and when it was "time", it would move to our porch, which would attract males doing this. I finally just hauled his cat off one morning.

if you decide to go this way with a Tom cat please video your attempt ot place the paste on his "boy parts" and try to post it before you go to the emergency room

seriously, try the bb or light pellet gun, scare him a few times and he shouldn't come back

I must be confused???? I thought the yellow paste went on them just before you dropped them in the stir fry

Everybody has some good ideas but I guess I should have mentioned that he is a "Stealth Cat" and as of yet has not been observed, he may be making his rounds at 3 am for all I know.

I don't mind sitting in the window with the M4, but my behind is frozen to the window sill and I can no longer feel my trigger finger hahahaha Temp is right around 9 degrees with a 12 mile an hour wind I would cry but my eyes are frozen solid

one of those scarecrow things, hooked to a garden hose...... motion sensor goes off, sprinkler goes on........... pour a bottle of tabasco in the end of the garden hose before you connect it to the scare crow. quickest link I could find, just showin ya what to look for.... gotta be able to find it at a better price. set it up and let it do its thing.
