I always wear mine. People will argue back and forth about "it saves" "it kills"
Whatever.
It’ll never be won.
I wear it cause my Dad and Sister were both firemen and Ive been to many car accidents and seen a decapitated body cause the girl driving went through the windshield and the roof-line peeled her head back like a pez-dispenser.
Thats why I wear it.
Thats just me. Others have their reason to wear or not to wear, and thats cool. Its America. It should be your right to choose.
I will argue about police giving out tickets for drivers not wearing seatbelts.
Lets say the concept of a seatbelt saving your life was universal.
If I choose not to wear mine, thats MY CHOICE. If I feel perfectly content with the possibility of my head going through safety glass, thats my choice.
The act is a punishment in itself.
To get a ticket on top of it, that is double-jeopardy.
Thats un-constitutional.

Like most guys here, I grew up not wearing one. But all I need to remind myself to put it on is driving on the streets of Las Vegas, its deadly here. There is not a day goes by that I don't see someone running a red light. The other thing that reminds me is my 3 year old that might not have a Dad to grow up with. And one more thing is if I happened to survive the wreck with no seat belt on and lost a arm or a leg, who wants to go through life like that?

With the influx of idiot drivers here in "Mexifornia", its stupid not to wear one.
Never know when a Lohan or Spears type might be driving next to you and under some kind of influence.

I rolled up on a Chevy truck on it's lid one night a few years back. Radio blaring, headlights on, cash all over the roof of the truck along with a 45 1911, and a body sticking half way out the window crushed by the roof post. I'm guessing he would have still been alive hanging in the seat belt when I got there had he used it. There's arguements either way but I'm still betting more are saved than killed by belts.
My company makes you put the belt on just to sit in the vehicle, no if's, and's or but's about it PERIOD................. (no pun intended)

I wear mine all the time. Not only is it the law, but it's the smart thing to do. Seatbelts save lives. Period.

The only time i will not ware a seat belt is when i am behind a driver or passenger seat and all thats available is a lap belt, just due to tthe damages lap belts can cause, but in hte middle wheere its and open space, a lap belt will save your life

My seatbelt goes on as soon as I leave the ranch. On the ranch i dont, but it would be stupid to wear one here. Anytime Im on the road in the truck the belt is on or on the motorcycle the helmet is on. simple enough. Oh and Im only 19.

I'm waiting for them to put seat belts on motorcycles. I'm afraid I may have to break the law there.

If im ever driving around town, interstate, or anywhere where there is traffic, it will be on. If im out in a field or just screwin around at home ill usually leave it off. I rolled my jeep off-road not wearing the seatbelt and it hurt... that was at around 2mph which enough to convince me to always wear it from now on. Poor jeep

Im gonna guess you were not on level ground...

Out here on the ranch, youre getting out every 2 minutes for something and only about 1/2 the time are you going the max speed of 25-30 that we go on the ranch. Not to mention that the roads aint exactly smooth, so if you do wear one your kidneys will be ready to kill ya. Dont get me wrong, like i said above, as soon as I leave the gate, or even leave the house on the way to town the belt is on.

Not even close to level ground, was in the bottom of a creek turning to climb up a fairly steep hill. Muddy hill+lifted and locked jeep+ bad driving= roll

Ya that happens. Come to think of it, theres been several rollovers on the ranch. The gasfield just hit here so lots of traffic. Had a guy in an explorer that wasnt even supposed to be on the ranch take a turn going too fast and rolled it. Weve had 2 trucks pull too far over on the side of the road at crossings and turn over. One of em was stopped when he went over, just kept sliding down till it roled. Guess thats good reasoning to wear your belt at ALL times.
