Saw this outside of Amarillo on the way back from Colorado. My dad's interpretation of how it happened: "What are we gonna do with that blazer, that old dozer, and that Chrysler 318?......Hand me a beer.......I have an idea!" And thus, this creature:

That's a shame that two perfectly good 8 lug steering axles have been wasted on that.

HAHA ya. Its a 80s blazer, with some sort of frame as a lift, with 2 cylinders and a large hydraulic ram, 4 wheel steer, and lots of redneck ingenuity/scariness.

 

HAHA, its just a 6 hour drive for ya. Show up wiht a case of beer, hed probably take it.

Am I to assume that the Blazer can be raised and lowered onto the frame? Also, where is the steering, accelerator and brake linkages? I'm thinking drive-by-wire might be a bit high-tec for this application. I do applaud their ingenuity however. If this country is ever invaded, we will be saved by the redneck!

Looks like it is all hydraulic operated. And that took how long to make? I wonder how Chicago would fare If I bought something like that?

It is. Id say it took 2-3 30 packs of stones to build .

 

It's a portable deer stand. You drive it to your spot, raise it up, keep the coffee plugged in, start up the heater now and then, etc.

 

I guess thats what happens when the hood latch cable brakes, and you can't figure out how to get the hood open without it...
