my 03 ZO6 with VERY minor mods (160 degree t-stat, drop in K&N filter and tuned by the local Vette Guru) on stock tires did 12.99 in the quarter (we are at 5000 feet elevation). would do 150 mph in 6th gear @ 4500 rpm with the AC on and when I was easy on it, would get 35.1 mpg hand calculated. Like an IDOT, i sold it. Darn i want another one of them!
11's man.
I actually don't know how fast the C5 Z06 is, but I know there are people putting drag radials on the C6 Z06 (2005+) and running sub 11's. Like 10.80's.
There is a guy on another site I post on that posted videos of his Z06 running like 10.80's or 10.90's with only drag radials and open exhaust. I think he said he was still trying to get his shifts down right too.
You can open the exhaust by pulling a fuse or installing a switch that bypasses it or something. Stock the exhaust butterflys open at like 4000 rpms or something so it's straight back from the cats and bypasses the muffler.

Its only as fast as the driver. I beat a 06 Z06 in the spring at the track. I had a low 13 run at 106 and he trapped 2/10 slower @127 running me down quick.
There is WAY too much to take into consideration when it comes to drag racing. On paper, a ZO6 is lightning.... there is a lot of potential for a good driver. There may be some videos of guys running 11's in them but I think a more realistic time would be 12.3-12.6 on street tires with a good wheel man.
Almost every time I go to the track there is a few guys that desk top race their cars, comparing what others do and end up highly disappointed. Here is a example of 1 such event....

Roush Mustang 427R on paper 12.7-12.9
Cobalt SS 14.5-15.0 3x that day the Balt beat the Mustang.

At Sacramento Raceway last Saturday night, a guy showed with a brand new Z-06 that still had the dealer's paper plates on it. He started off with mid-to low 12's and finished the night with around 11.7. All stock, no mods at all.

I would love to have another one! I have a book of checks, oh wait, no money in the account though! DARN IT! I will have another one in the stable one day soon.
The 2004 Z06 is rated at 405 HP and the 06-09 Z06 is rated at 505 HP. I have had ny 2004 Z06 for about four and a half years, but have never raced it. In fact, it only has 1001 miles on it. The top drivers on the Corvette forum have gone high 11,s in the 1/4 and Ranger off the same forum has gone 10.85 with his stock '06 with no tune just drag radials. He supposedly has the fastest stock late Z06 in the country at this time.
I have yet to see one dip into the 11's but I have only seen 3 different ones this Summer. Drag radials make a HUGE difference on anything with a decent amount of power but they like to break stuff on anything I have tried them on.
