I thought I could type a whole lot faster but ended up with
40 WPM at 95% accuracy

What did you get?

 

57wpm with 100% accuracy. Thought I would be faster, but at least it was accurate!

 

I was pleasantly surprised:

Net Speed: 79 wpm
Accuracy: 97%
Gross Speed: 81 wpm

I am on the computer all day at work so I get lots of practice, but this is faster than I thought I was.

Thats after the third try I am apparently a horrible typer.

On my laptop I got net speed: 48wpm, and 82% accuracy with something like 53wpm gross speed... so then I turned around and tried on my desktop: 57wpm net speed, 95% accuracy, gross speed 60wpm.... that is why I do not like laptop keyboards...

When i did a course in school. I was in the speed typing contests at the end of the year, ended up with 114 words per min. and a 95 percent accuracy. the fastest kid was 122 wpm. i was amazed at him
