How does one search for a domain name?

Well im thinking about starting an internet based sales buisness,found the right product,the right price,now its time to name the site.How can I make sure Im not copying an existing name,and avoid the problems that would come with that? Thanks,Mark

www.godaddy.com is advertising alot lately.
if you just want to see if its available, just type it in your web browser and see what comes up.
