House!!!

As some of yall already know my wife and I bought our first house on Monday. If you know the area it is in Sapulpa. It is in town, so I don't have any land, just a lot but at this point in my life I don't have the time to care for land, and I help my dad care for his land.

It's a full brick 2 bedroom one bath with a big living room and kitchen. It got a new roof right before we bought it. Right now we are preparing the floors to stain the concrete. Next on my list is redoing the kitchen, then a big built in desk in the spare bedroom, which will be our office. And a fence so I can have a bird dog.

I am just thrilled beyond belief about this, and figured I would share it with you guys. Pics will probally be forthcoming as I finish the work. This is where it come in handy to be a good trim carpenter (it aint bragging if you back it up)

Congrats on the house, but even more congrats and still having a smile on your face. I built a house awile back and by the time it was done I wanted to burn the house. I was a finish carpenter a few years ago that will come in handy, especially if you have all the tools.

Congratulations on the new digs, nothing like the feeling of homeownership. Tax advantages are awesome and once you build some equity you can leverage it to pay back gambling debts, or.... whatever.

I'm on my 3rd, I think I'll stay at this one for a while. Keeps getting better and better!

Thanks guys.

Yeah, I am a finish guy by my cards, but I can frame and even have some basic plumbing/electrical skills. And I have a decent tool collection... not everything was loades up when I took these pics, still had hand held power tools scattered about, and at that time was keeping a good bit of stuff in the truck.
