Its -10F at midnight here in Minnesota and heading for -15 to 20 by morning.<br><br>The coldest I have seen here in the Twin Cities is -32. When to school in North Dakota where it got to -40 for a couple of days a winter.<br><br>10 days ago 1/10 we had 14,000 plus Minnesotians out on a frozen lake setting a new record for total poeple ice fishing on one lake. It was -10 in the morning and +5 for a high in Northern Minnesota. 8) 8) Keeps the rif raff out of the state...

It's not just North America that seems to be experiencing the cold right now. I've been seeing stories of extremely cold weather over most of Euro-asia, Russia, Scandinavia, etc. It appears the entire Northern Hemisphere is experiencing a major cold spell. Thousands of people have been dying in India due to cold weather. When I was surfing weather forecasts in Russia yesterday the warmest areas had highs around 0C and forecast to get considerably colder over the next week. Most areas I clicked on had forecasts between -15 to -40C.<br><br>Here in Pasco Washington it almost got cold enough to snow today, but it just rained since it was close to 40 <br><br>Vaughn

Us mid-Atlantic types want to ask those of you North of us to KEEP YOUR COLD WEATHER TO YOURSELF!!!!<br><br>Calling for single digits here tonight and again Saturday AM. We don't do snow and ice very well - usually wait a day and its gone. Looks like this is here for a while.<br><br>My wife spent 4 years in Anchorage, came back here to get away from this stuff. Now she says she ain't getting out from under the electric blanket for nothing until it gets back above freezing. Hope she can hold it that long ;D<br><br>I gotta go fire up the propane shop heater to keep enough heat in it to ward off freezing. Dang wind is gusting to 20 knots - sucks the heat right out of them metal doors.<br><br>Y'all keep warm now, ya here.

My wife and I were in Alaska (Anchorage) in 88-89, which was the coldest year on record for Anchorage. The HIGHS for the day were -37F and the lows at night were -58F for about three weeks straight. THAT WAS COLD - glad I didn't own a diesel then!

I would be an honery Polar Bear up there right now. I will just wait and visit you next year, thank you very much. 8) And, I will still soak in the hot tub right here. In fact, that sounds like a marvelous idea. Dropped a little pic in so you guys up north can dream. See me in there? ??? Life is tough, but someone has to do it. :P
