Holiday sweet tooth, anyone?
sweet tooth is getting the best of me now. This was in my own kitchen, last week....
RIDICULOUSLY EASY ACCIDENTAL FUDGE
one can sweetened condensed milk (like Eagle Brand)
one package (16 oz) butterscotch morsels
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 package (16 oz) chocolate chips
In large heatproof glass (corningware is good!!) container, melt together butterscotch morsels and can milk. Use the microwave - heat it til it bubbles (way past what you "should" to melt it). Guess what - butterscotch morsels don't melt like chocolate.... Edit... got a BOILING HOT mess now.
OK, throw in a package of chocolate chips, stir into boiling hot mess and then set aside to do something else concerning dinner.
fifteen minutes later, remember the mess and stir in walnuts - hmmm... this ain't looking half bad! stir til smooth, pour out onto buttered plate and put in fridge to forget it again.
After dinner it's still pretty warm, but just right to cut, using pizza cutter. MAN!!! this stuff is GOOD! Got to remember to write it down and share with friends....
...next time will remember to give it a shot of rum extract!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
