Hmmmmm
I'm just trying to understand why anyone besides a gun dealer would want one. I can buy, sell or trade firearms all I want to within the state of Texas...and there aren't many guns outside of Texas that I can't live without.
I can certainly see why a dealer would want one...and even a gunsmith...but not your average person.

All transfers must go through a liscenced dealer(for a nominal fee), who has to make sure that you have all the proper training requirements. A hunters safety certificate, for rifles and shotguns, or a pistol training certificate, for hand guns (both may be had for a nominal fee also). There is a 2 week cooling off period in Ca after your Federal 3 day waiting period, after have paid for your gun, and additional requirements that may take longer. Additionally you may not purchase more than one gun of any type per 30 day period.
In California the legal law abiding gun owner/ collector is being legislated out of existence!
FYI: Don't even think about getting a CCW permit in this state unless you are in Law enforcement.

Wow. I'm glad I live in Texas. I can walk to my next door neighbor's house and purchase 12 handguns, 4 assault rifles and 6 shotguns from him without filing any paperwork, getting any certificates or going through any waiting periods.
If I want a NEW gun(s) I can walk into Sportsman's Warehouse with my CHL, tell them which gun I want, fill out one piece of paperwork and walk out the door all in about 5 minutes time.
I knew California was bad but didn't realize it was THAT bad.
