Just kidding, partner. I agree that the whole idea stinks but there are better (and more effective) ways to go about fighting it than with firearms.

What is interesting is that when the Supreme court made it easier for eminent domain to take place TEXAS was on of the first individual states to pass legislation to protect private property owners.

People I know, non Texans, say that is going to be just for Mexican trucks going into the heartland. Any truth to that rumor?

Tough to tell....rumors and talk are flying around like crazy.....both sides are Highlighting their points really bad. Honestly, i think a lot of good will come from somthing like this.....no question.....but what bad things have to happen to get it done? Would be kinda cool to get from Gainesville to Larado in less than 8 hrs........places inbetween....even less.......(did i mention i LOATH I-35 between Dallas and Austin........road is BAD and people will run you over....when you are doing 80!!!)

You can say that again. That section of road is in horrible shape and there's plenty of construction but no one even bats an eye. Even in the 55mph section southbound between marker 390 and 378, everyone will run 75-80. But then again, that is the smoothest section of road, all freshly poured concrete.
