Hey Signature600 Got Toys??

Chris,
My boy has some Christmas money and is looking to spend it on a nice toy tractor of some sorts.... you have any Oliver's or Allis's down there. To far to drive anymore, trip costs as much as the toys nowadays.

Thanks Chris,
I told him I had a question in to someone who might have a lead on Allis tractors. I dont know how it happened, since I like the old Ollies, but he really likes the Orange ones. In fact, his grandpa just bought him a nice little WD, just have to figure how to get it in past the daughter without offending her..

Hey.. I just reread yesterdays post, LOL, what I was trying to say was it costs to much to drive that far just to look at what toys you have If you dont have any to look at...LOL 3rd shift is hard on an already dead brain I tell you.

Nah , it's more of a "power red" i think is the actual name of the colour if i remember right.

I don't see them ol massey's comin around with cummins engines in em (now that i have said that , i realize they do , the 6.7) but case has used them forever , 5.9 and 8.3.

Is that a 4240?? Can't see the decal, but it looks shorter than a 4440!

They are green so the service truck can find them eaiser

Chris

BTW, Massey's never used Cummins in anything smaller than a 4wd It's Pekins up to 135hp today, and Sisu-Valmet after that They used to have Pekins to 180hp, then Cummins (903 V8) in the 4800's!

we got 4 john deere tractors. 6110 (cab tractor) 2355, 1520 and 750. we use the last three in our turkeyhouses for years. and dad and i are hard on tractors. we run them hard and the dust is even worse on them. yet they still keep going. just change the oil and a few rusted metal pecies and keep going and going and going...

Deere's aren't any better than any of the other big names...AGCO, Massey, Case-IH/NH (but their slipping), Fendt, Valtra, Buhler...they are all good, but for what Deere's cost over almost everything else, THEY SHOULD BE BETTER In this case, more is almost always less!

But what do I know, I just trade in Deere's on 25% of what I sell

No...Its not near that size. Its just a little 4cyl turbocharged 2555 rated @ 75hp. Its a stout son of a gun though. Say what you want about John Deere's; but from everything i have ever seen/drove, the John Deere's always have the easiest to reach control's without even looking for them. You dont have to move around to find what you need(pto, gears, etc..). Thats what i really like about them. Some tractors i have driven; you have to basically turn sideways in the seat to reach the PTO button etc. Heck our old 520 tricycle wheel 2 cyl is easier to drive than most the other manufacturers new tractors
