He's wondering why his warranty was voided!
Other then for the air filter. The truck didn't look that bad to me. I bet that was his first diesel, and didn't know in muddy conditions the filter will soak up like that. The truck was dirty underneath but big deal drive country roads once. My truck looked 10 times worse then that this spring, take a 50 mph run at mud holes in 4wheel drive not because you want to but because you have to.
You tell me who is getting the value out of the 50K dollar truck the guy out using it to get a job done. Or the guy in town who buys it to get groceries once a week.
Personally I don't care what anyone does with their vehicle. But it does tick me off when people start criticizing others for what they do with theirs.

I wish I was as fine, as those who work the pipeline!

Ya, I'm sure the empty 18 pack of bud light in the back had nothing to do with it.
You can do whatever you want with your truck, just don't expect the dealership to repair it under warranty.
This guy got drunk with his buddies, went puddle jumping and fence crawling, then woke up the next afternoon and said man, these trucks are worthless, can't even take a little 'light' off road fun.
I hope the dealership contacts his insurance agent and finance company.
The owner of that truck is an idiot. Not for doing what he did did to his truck (which he probably doesn't even own), but for taking his truck to a dealership to verify the fact that he is an idiot because he expected them to pay for it.

I agree, pretty stupid. Some people will do anything to find a reason to complain, this falls right in line with people sueing someone else for their own stupidity.
Video reminds me of the pictures a guy brought into work, found em online somewhere. Lady ran over a mattress.... just found the page-

Did yall see how much mud was packed into the radiator? I have a hard time doing that on my ATV. Plus water injected into the engine!
Oh and the spare wheel in the bed
smashed to heck looking like it had caught on fire.

Looks like a normal ranch truck to me
No big deal other than the water intake, probably be good for a few more years of work if it wasn't for that.
Warranty..... I don't think so. Insurance maybe depending on what the story is behind the water getting to the engine. There's probably an empty beer can or two in the back of my truck from camping this summer, does that mean if I get in a wreck I'd have to have been on a drunken adventure?

I cant find it now but this video was floating around a while back and I think the truth behind the story was that the truck got stolen and this was the aftermath of the joy ride the thieves took it on. Cant swear to it but I think thats what happened.
Well of course, but what if you drove into a creek crossing that ended up being deeper than it was the day before? Stuff happens, and we don't know for sure what the story is here. I'm just saying that looks like a normal ranch truck to me, with exception of the water that got to the filter, which looks like what killed the truck to me. For all we know, the truck just had an oil change and new air filter the day before it took a swim.
Some of that may have been done to a stolen truck, the exhaust cut off, I doubt. I think most of it looked like farm truck abuse (the mirror, the body damange, even the trailer hitch (I have drug my hitch a couple times myself)

Why would you hope the dealership would contact his/her insurance agent and finance company?? The insurance company shouldn't care until their is a claim at which point they will look at the truck. Finance company should only care if a payment is late.
Why do you assume the truck isn't payed for?
I looked and must have missed it so could you please show me the info source stating that the truck was brought in for warranty work. If he did bring it in for warranty work then he is smoking somthing stronger than he should be.
