Ok..so I'm getting ready to recommend the HEMI to a friend of mine looking for a new truck. Just as I'm typing the e-mail to him, my brother calls, I mention the HEMI, and he says:

"Mechanic I know (reputable one too I've heard) of mine says they are having oil pump problems with the new 5.7L Hemi."

Does anyone here know anything about this?

Only thing that I have heard about the HEMI was that they had rearend issues in the beginning (coudn't handle the power ?? or at least the test drivers right foot). I assume that that was been addressed with the production models.<br><br>PISTOL

 

Probably the same problem as the Cummins with the rear end's underfilled diff's. I have not heard anything negijive on the hemi so far!!! ;D Awesome Engine for a Gasser! I put about 30 miles on one! lol!<br><br>DRecu!

Great engine. Put 8 psi of intercooled boost through it and you get 500+ rear wheel hp. ;D
