Last I knew, you CAN drink in the enlisted club on Ft. Rich. Leadership on Rich would rather you drink on post than downtown somewhere and have you get into trouble. But that's the ONLY spot it's ok for you to drink underage. Anywhere else and you'll end your short Army career early....

Was in Anchorage for work a couple years ago. You are gonna love it, the people are great and the scenery is awesome. Alaskan amber ale is the best beer and don't forget to go to the Alaskan Bush company, a fine drinking establishment.

CTDinMT: Glad you have been chiming in. Seemed like you disappeared for awhile after you left Alaska. Excellent advice as far as not drinking off post underage. As you pointed out---very good way to get in trouble. Lots of good idea's from everybody but gotta remember--He's gotta stay out of the off post bars until age 21. Anyway, there is so much fun stuff to do without hitting the bars.

Ya i dont want to get into trouble but i am stationed there for 4 years and i will turn 21 while being up there thats why i was asking. I cant wait to leave. Saturday is coming up and fast. I have visited all my friends here in TX and i think i am ready to fly out to alaska! Now as far as vehicle wise i still cant get the diesel out of my head even tho is like $5.00/gal up there i still want one. I would luv to find a 12V 4x4 up there but dont know if i would be that lucky. And do yall think it would cost alot for me to ship my aftermarket parts up there? do yall know if there is a 4wheelparts store in alaska? Thanks for the advice fellas!

Bark- Yeah, I spent a bit of time out of here after the move. Had a lot of stuff going on with work and so I only checked in here every now and then. Glad to be back tho! I missed this place!

Big Dblue- No 4 Wheel Parts in Anchorage that I know of, however, near the main gate at Elmendorf there's Northern 4x4. They can get you anything you want.
