Talking Haulin' a horse...just when you thought it couldn't get any worse...

My father-in-law drove to Las Vegas from Northern Michigan for a car show and met up with this sweet equine ride in the fine state of Utah...the ultimate horse hauler....complete with saddled horse....

A friend of mine in Colorado has hauled horses in the back of his truck for years. This one looks a lot better then the rigs he used.

Probably would be better if this was the other way around!

The reason for the saddled horse is the lack of a tack room on that model of hauler.

Looks like its got even weight distribution and level ride.
Nice ventilation and a premium ramp for loading too.

Ask Rod, thats one of those new high falootin import horse haulers.
Rod prefers the low rider sheep express.
Shovelhead probably had a picture of that somewhere.

Not much around anymore, but I don't get what is the big deal. As a kid in the mountains of New York I saw a lot worse than that. I don't see a thing wrong with it...

Did you ever see some of the rigs that they pull cars with in the forties and fifties?

This is the way that we use to haul all our horses also transported cows to sale. For my Dad's horse it was the only way he would ride, getting him into a trailer took a act of congress of course he was so big putting him in a trailer was like getting a Clydesdale into a VW.

Based on the looks of that truck, I'd say the horse is just back-up transportation for when it breaks down.

I don't know- don't look all that wrong to me- we used to haul goats and pigs to town to the vet in the back of a 68 Nova 4 door with the back seat removed- and we used it only for that- it smelled REAL strong of manger LOL
