Have any of you been effected by these individuals that occupy? Been sitting here on the light rail in Portland trying to get to the airport now fire the last twenty minutes...now we get to offload because the train I was on had to head back to where we stated from so the system can be reset...hope I left enough time to get to my flight....I say arrest then all and their away the key!

Nope I haven't been affected, but I darn sure guarantee they aint brave enough to try in these parts. The 'affecting' they would get round here would stick with them for a while...

 

Same here! Had a few idiots downtown for a few days but that was very peaceful. If they try to get rowdy here it will not last long! Our police and government have the cajones to stop it right away

 

-12 with 50kt winds keeps away most of the weak-willed folks, so there's nobody hanging around city hall anymore...

(we had all of 7 "occupiers" during daylight hours for about a week, then nothing...)

 

Hundreds and Hundreds in Portland, wish the light rail was closer to the action to watch them get pepper sprayed yesterday. When we finally get to within 10 minutes of the airport, some lady decides to sit down on the tracks at Gateway Transit Center...would have been quicker to let the train nudge her out of the way. Anyway, I made my flight, but a half dozen others missed theirs...

 

We have about 50 of them in downtown Calgary that have been there for about a month and a half. There have been a few injuries from burns as they try to heat their tents. They blamed the city for the burns the other day because the city won't provide them with free electricity. Are you kidding me!!!!
It started snowing yesterday and it is going down to -25C / -13F tonite. That might thin out the herd a little bit.

 

never understood the plan. stand around and what? hope the rich will give you money? stop shovelling everthing they can get their hands on into their vaults? seriously?

anyone else note how far away the politicians are?
no knee jerk reaction laws being passed? (when wild animals were running

Rochester Ny is closest city and they all are laid off xerox, IBM, kodak professionals. so it is more like 'we walk around during the day, go for coffee latte, then pick up our kids from the private schools and go home to watch ourselves on the news.' kind of crowd. they even sweep the park daily, provide water and don't allow any electronic noise devices like a bullhorn.

my humble humorous opinion on Occupy Action is:
crack the IRS files
give the addresses out for the top 5,000 wealthy Americans
stop welfare and empty the prisons.

Obama's plan of weath re-distrbution realized. he takes a bow. blames the Republicans for ending welfare, starts a forgiveness program (just like the current Immigration deportation halt for non violent offenders).
and Occupies the White House again.

Does anyone know what the point of the occupy movement is all about? Obviously they're protesting, but what do they WANT in order for them to STOP protesting? Is it money?

 

it has affected me ,Every time I se it on TV I have to puke!

 

So if we move to say a flat tax of 5% across the board. Everyone pays their far share. You make more, ya pay more...just heard something on the news today that GE engine paid no taxes last year...are you kidding me....

I think if they want something they should get that thing called a job! If you have the time to sit somewhere for weeks at a time I believe the problem is with you.

Folks this is all part of the master-plan..

The occupy crowd was/is getting paid by Acorn / Move On (uncle George's club) The true purpose of this movement has not come to light, as the election approaches they will probably become more violent and it will used as an excuse for martial law.

When the smoke clears maybe the occupy crowd will figure out that they were being used..
