HAPPY 229th
I went to the birthday ceramony at my command this morning, It makes me feel great to be an american. Also got a piece of the cake.

We have some pretty big celebrations by the Marines in my community. Chesty Puller is buried here and every year at this time, the Marines do something special. We also get the Marine Corps band here regularly.
Of course only those from the "ole" Corps knows about Chesty.

Happy Birthday Leathernecks !!! My old man was a Marine, my father in-law was one and now two of my kids are PFC's in the Marine Corp JROTC at school .... guess it was meant to be .
