I was scared i had a stalker, Looked like my wrench, my driveway, my oil pan, my mess haha. Although ive never had mine over fill either? who knows. Sorry to see the disaster. Sounds retarded ( cause you could get wet) but spray the drive with water first, keeps the oil from soaking in :P soak it up wash it off and all is new

Looks like my garage floor did after my first oil change.

Nothing that 20lbs of drizit can't handle!!

No biggie, I learned that the closed top pans aren't the most CTD friendly.

Hot oil to the forehead, and neck wasn't much fun either!! OUCH!

No worries. It will take them a few days before they realize that they're insulted.

Has anyone considered giving Pig a call before you change your oil?

Please tell me I'm not the only one that's done this.

LOL That is exactly what happen to me with that exact same pan! It just gushed out so fast the hole in pan is not big enough and it spilled over the side. Glad to see I am not the only one! Now I know its the PAN's fault!

I'm with you HID, I loosen it up until it starts flowing pretty good then go pop open a cold adult beverage.
By the time the Barley-Pop's done, it's time to pull the plug all the way out.

diff. pan same result. i now use a bucket. i actually had enough time to think ," ****, my thumb looks like it will plug it till the oil goes down enough" yeah right!!! i could only hold the thumb on there about 10sec till it about burned my thumb off . so now i use a 5 gal bucket and a magnet to fish out the plug.

I highly recommend one of these: http://www.genosgarage.com/CoastalDa...D=1013&CATID=1
Then when the pan gets full you can just turn off the valve while you empty the pan. Both my trucks have one.
Both my trucks are 4x4 so lately I have been putting one of those square plastic cat litter containers under it, since it fits under there. All the oil fits in there. If you have to go out and buy cat litter to get the container, that's OK, you can use the litter to absorb all that oil you spilled the first time around. (get the cheapest stuff that comes in a plastic container, it will absorb better)

I've found this to be the ONLY way I can change my oil without wearing it.
