had my truck siphoned

someone siphoned the tank on the truck last night... They broke into my utility trailer, stole my steel boat gas can (empty OMC) and a 4 foot high lift jack. the guy couldn't make too much noise as our bedroom was right there. our heads couldn't have been much more than 6 feet away.
how annoying!

Amartinson, those words "SEEK AND DESTROY" would be the next 3 simple words after I got the truck refueled, and could motor around looking for the pond sucking scum that sucked my algae forming tank dry.....

Hopefully he'll try to run your fuel in his gasser.

With fuel prices the way they are, I was wondering when this would start again.

You got this right - - I just installed lockers on both my tanks.

For you that have the RDS/Northern tool box, the locking cap that fits that tank is a 99Ram cap.

I think a prank would be better.

Maybe your horn honking? or lights flashing when the fuel door is opened.

I think a remote starte activating when the fuel door is opened and the alarm is set.

A FireCracker behind the fuel door?

A Burglarist senses are exremely hieghtened.. Just a firecracker popping behind the fuel door could require some shorts changing...

I've had a locking cap on mine pretty much since I got it... I was more concerned with someone seeing how much junk they could stuff down that nice open neck rather than sucking out my fuel...

I suspect the guy started to siphon off a bunch of fuel, realized it was diesel and dumped it out. that is the only explanation I have for the ammount of fuel on the ground. the locking cap is next...

Guess now I have a reason to get this cap I've been wishing for from Geno's Garage:

Available in locking or non-locking (non-locking shown):
