There is so much more to this act than what is on the link. Things like, your home can and will be checked to make sure your firearms are stored in accordance with the law. They will conduct random checks. If you are not in accordance, your licsence will be revoked, along with ALL your guns, reloading equip, and ammunition. Also, the licsence you are required to get has to be renewed EVERY year. Without it, you CANNOT buy any guns, ammo, or reloading supplies.

I feel it's getting closer and closer for people to use the 2nd amendment right for what it's for. We are living in a tryanny and it's time to shake it off and start over as our founding fathers proclaimed. If this passes the people of this country need to rise up as one and get rid of the current government.

I emailed my representative a few days ago, but haven't gotten a response yet. I guess it's time for a phone call.

You probably will not get a response. It had taken me months before to get a response on other subjects. They are bombarded with emails, and I live in a state where there is a low population. Can only imagine the emails other state reps. get in places like Texas, N. York, etc... but thanks for sending in your email. Every little bit counts!

You can do a search for a list of your states representatives and then find the one for your district.

X2. Contact your local Rep. Just type in (State you live in) and contacts. It will give you a list. I actually just recieved a letter back from mine. He is working hard on this issue. Our Rep is a huge sportsman and gun owner himself, so theres no doubt he is on it. So many people don't even know about this issue too. From the letters I have recieved back, this vote is going to be extremely close.... however they figure that out. What is happening to America, and who are these IDIOTS!

Understand....the jerk who sponsored this is from..bamatown.
The section on Inspection in HR45 says that they can come in during “normal business hours” to anyplace where the firearms are bought, sold, or STORED. That’s your HOUSE in case you were not paying attention. They won’t need a warrant to search your house because you have to give up your rights under the 4th Amendment in order to become “licensed”.
Note the hypocricy of the ACLU backing this type of law. The purpose of these types of bills is to get guns out of the hands of criminals and minors. If passed it would require everyone to register their handguns. But wait if a convicted felon or an underage gang member is required to register his handgun, the conviction for breaking this law would be overturned because, as the ACLU can confirm, the Defendant’s 5th amendment right would be violated by requiring this person to admit that he was in possession of a handgun that the laws currently state he cannot possess. So the only people who could legally own an un-registered handgun would be convicted felons and minors. The very people the law is reported to be taking the guns away from. To paraphrase an old comment, The loss of the 2nd Amendment right is the first step to the loss of the other rights in the Constitution.
