Well, I just had the biggest day of my life so far. Graduated with a degree in Metallurgy and commissioned as a 2LT in the Field Artillery this afternoon. First stop Lawton, OK then to Alaska! The lady in the picture is my fiancee, the wedding is coming very soon too...All of this hasn't really hit me yet.

Man, thats great!! Congrats!!! Your wife to be and family are all proud Im sure. Your smile is an indicator you are proud too and you should be.


Metallurgy is interesting and will just keep getting better.

I don't know whether I'm more impressed by the commission or the Metallurgy Degree.

Thanks to everyone! I know Metallurgy doesn't really match my career choice, but I had to get some degree and I loved doing that, so well see how it comes in later, but I am happy to have no metallurgy for quite a while and focus completely on the Army.
