I just started at a new fire department got a 10K bump in pay better benifits and i went from riding officer in a two man engine to riding in the back of a 6 man quint. the quint is a brand new 100' platform. my first shift was 2/25 and we have had a structure fire every shift since. the first shift it was a good house fire and the other two it was just little crap but still a fire. if i was still at the old department i might have ran two medicals in the same amount of time. its great. and it is also civil service which is also great. we have 3 stations and the 4th should be finished by easter. after station 4 is finished they are going to start on our station and rebuild it to make it look good. i'm in station 1 so it needs to be the best looking and the biggest. but we are going to start station 5 when they finish our rebuild. also the city is building a event center for a NHL team and also we have 110 acres that schlitterbahn is going to build a water park on. so it is looking great for us. i will get some pics of the truck as soon as i have a chance. anyways you guys have a good one and stay safe.
