Looking great. Good luck on meeting your closing. Sounds like a good excuse for a little get together and get you moved in real quick.

With all them rocks in the yard I’ll bet you have to sharpen the end of a T-post in order to drive it into the ground
Nice house, but please don’t call me for a bid to put a fence around it. I live on sandy ground for a reason..

Re:Gonzo's Palace Update

what does something like that cost in the great state of Texas? Around here it would be way out of my price range at about anywhere from a half to 3/4 of a million. depending on location of course?

Looks good! Did you do that tile work on the tub deck yourself? Lots of work. Every time we tile something, SWMBO wants to have at least some of the tiles at a 45[sup]o[/sup] angle. She did give me a break on the granite floor in one of the bathrooms, though.

You have to get the tile laid out before she knows she has an oppinion... it's easier to get forgiven.

I did a little fish mosaic out of the pieces I broke, under the bathroom door. The bathroom floor was slightly lower, and I had to make a transition, downhill from the diningroom.

That is a sharp looking tub Gonzo.

Re:Gonzo's Palace Update

Thanks for all the good words. I am gonna have a get together at my place once I get an exact date ironed out and the house is somewhat in order,,all the bbq and bs a person can handle, gonna need some help with the garages 2 part epoxy costing . I am also considering a get together at the coast some time in December to go off shore fishing, have to see how that lays out.

The land out there is solid rock,,,trying to figure out how to lay fence around all 4 acres, have to find where Bigfoot lives and bug him till he gives in. ;D Slate isn't really all that tough..

I'm not that fast. And I can't complain too much--she's always helping. Her grandfather was a carpenter, so she knows how to swing a hammer and so on...

We had a similar height mismatch between the kitchen and bathroom. Got two of those marble thresholds stacked up on top of each other, stuck down with silicone.

Re:Gonzo's Palace Update

Don’t even look in my direction for a fence. I am getting to lazy to drive a T-post in sand. ;D The best advice I can give you is become real good friends with the local high school football coach. You and him sit a drink some adult beverages while the team gets a workout. Of course you would have to feed them and that might break the bank.
