Madhat, Im sure you have some insight on what I have volunteered for. I understand that it may not be the most rational decision, but Im looking forward to it. That in itself probably qualifies me for the job, since Im a little warped.

In 74 I didn't make the OCS cut (Army) and was bummed for awhile. If I had been a Jarhead I would be a General by now ....har..har..(i crack myself up). Really though, Congrats!!! Got some hard work ahead though.

I wouldn't listen to this guy. From the sounds of it, he will inform your drill instructor that he is weak and somehow it's going to lead back to you. . Just playing.

Good luck though. Where are you shipping out to?

Reminds me of when on recruiting duty I had a Kid who was a bit cocky and mouthy but after he shipped we got even. We sent a letter to him at Boot with a return addy that said Gay Buddies of America.
His Company Commander had a lot of fun with it.

Oh, yeah... I love it...

I had a kid that got a "Go Army" sticker on one of his letters, so I made him do push ups to the tune of, " BE! (down push up position) ALL! (up) YOU! (down) CAN! (up) BE! (down)...." You get the picture... it was terrible.

I also had kids parents call me and tell me to mess their kids up...

I loved it.

Im sure my prior service and age will be enough to draw attention without any other assistance. Thank You! I appreciate all the confidence and will surely post the progress as it comes. OORAH!
