Outside of the vette, GM has the imagination & creativity of a buggy whip manufacturer. For many years, Cadillac was a warmed over Chevy, selling for $2x. Yet, there were plenty of stupid morons to belly up the $ and think they did better than Mercedes or Lexxus. When these people are dead, who will buy GM?

Thier cars (and Fords) are for people too stupid or proud to buy a Toyota, Honda, Nissan. Oh, by the way, those cars are made in this country.
Ford just slipped to #3 in the world, Toyota #2. If you read Consumer Report, The Jap cars hold up much better than "merican stuff. The long term quaility issues & price are why people do not buy American cars. They have gotten warmed over pooor quality for so long, that, given a choice, people buy a Camry/Accord/Altima & smile for 250k, with few issues.
Tundra's are now made in San Antonio(want some Pace with that?) and have Consumer Reprts best buy. To Fords credit, the new 150 has Lincoln like interior, rides like a car, and has been given accolades by everyone. Dodge Ram(Gas)has the Hemi, but outside of power, there product does not measure up to Ford, if you are objective. CTD is the only RAM to have, but it would seem that, after about 5 years of the PS7.3 being rated for 2-3k less than CTD, they finally uped the ante to 19k, about 3k more than the current CTD. The good news is that competition gives us better products.
The Nissan Titan pretyy much out does all American (Gas)trucks, including trhe Hemi. Ford is quiter & more sophiticated, but Nissan hit a triple. GM has adequate trucks/SUVS that are long in the tooth, outdated; And boy, do they love there V8 with 2 valves/cyclinder. Even Ford went to 3.
Unless the Big 3 get smarter, more efficent, better quality, innovations,etc., they will contiue to lose market share to he Japenese. I think DC understands this better, and is on the upswing as a result. The CTD's have also been gaining market, & for good reason. The old 7.3 PS was a PS.
Muscle cars are nice, but eventually people grow up(or become NHRA professional).

im with the guy on the VIPER...but the older models looked better....in my opinion the viper is wayy underpowered....and is the most barbaric neanderthal sports car out there thats why i love it...i hate fancy cars with too much comp wisardry and sensors everywhere...it doesnt make u feel as though ur part of the car...id feel so disconnected from these computer cars....i like older performance cars with basic parts that i can swap out myself....simplicity is the key for me....the new mustang is gonna be a hit i think ..the only thing for has left is the superdutys and the mustang...without the stang they would have no car market!
dodge is doing really well because they have good looking affordable trucks ...the hemi marketing was genius...i cant turn turn around without seeing one...everyone wants one ....then my personal favorite is the CHRYSLER 300......i think thats the biggest score...its a baby bentley....awesome looking sedan....looks better than a benz!...and an excellent p[rice!!....and that attracted the rich business bunch to chrysler....and that crappy van dodge has had for ever caravan is it?? that's everywhere! every soccer mom has one!
i think they're doing an awesome job....they should promote the cummins more id like to see a commercial for pulling something ridiculous for kicks and more amphasis on the fact that we're DAIMLER-chrysler....real engineering/ german support etc

I am just glad to hear that ford is finally going to put some HP in thier junktangs err uhh mustangs, I am getting really bored of beating up on stock gt's with my little 4cyl SRT-4.
You want bang for the buck, next time you are at the dodge dealer getting an injection pump replaced go out on the lot and test drive one of the SRT-4's..
