The big loser however was Bill Belichick. In my mind walking off the field with playing time left even 1 second is a show of poor sportsmanship. He is supposed to have a record setting team, how about showing his appreciation of it to his players and fans by sticking it out to the very end.

The game is not over until it's over.

I was thinking the same thing.

Belichick is unbelievable. Someone should punch him in the face a time or two for that....he got beat at his game and he couldn't at least congratulate the opposing players....

If you actually watched the game you would have seen the clock go to "0", Belicheck AND Coughlin go to the center of the field, embrace each other with congradulations then both walk to the sidelines. While they were walking to the side lines the KNUCKLEHEAD that had been operating the game clock and screwing it up throughout the entire game, (Coughlin arguing with an official several times about it), decided to put 1 second back on the clock, this after the fans and all the reporters have already rushed the field.

ANY responsibility for the pandemonium at the end of the game lie's with the officiating staff, NOT the coach's or the teams.

I was watching, and I DID see that. He failed to come back out onto the field to complete the game. If you had been watching the game, you would see the referee trying to stop Bill and tell him that the game was not over.

Yeah I saw that too, the game was over, the clock ran out after the Pats last play, there was no need for the Giants to snap the ball to end the game. That is why he did not come back out, he knew he did not have too.

There were about 2 meaningless seconds left after the last incomplete pass by brady, I looked right at the time after the pass went uncaught, and even though there was no chance for anything but a giants win NFL rules say both teams are supposed to complete the game. Bill is a part of one of those teams and he should have come back out even if it is worthless.

Not only is he part of the team, he is the head coach, which means he should be out there when his players are on the field, even if its just for taking a knee for 2 seconds. Anything less is asinine.

You guy's see that Brady and Moss both pulled out of the Probowl for supposed "ankle injuries".

I'm glad NY won. I'm not a big Pats fan. But come on... Eli Manning MVP????? Give me a break. He lofted every pass he threw and got lucky on the broke sack and helmet catch. Exciting? yes. The whole NY defense deserves the MVP. They came to play! Eli Manning is not that good of a quarterback IMO. Brady is much better and I don't like Brady.

Because he brought them all to N.E. along with Corey Dillion was quoted as saying,"he wanted to play for a championship team". Every team in the NFL has done the exact same thing as the Pats, the only difference they have not been all over the news and sports shows, its all because of media hype.

We are not crying, Giant defensively won that game, their defensive line should get ALL the credit. If Manning was so good (mvp) why wasn't the score 48-14, instead of 17-14?

Oh yeah, what was the Giants final season record, and how many NFL records did they break this season?

All in fun,

Tim

Who cares about the Giants season record, or their lack of setting all sorts of records with their offense? I bet anyone everything I have that the Giants are happier with their rings than a team scoring record, TD records for their QB and WR.....the only record they care about is their record in this years Super Bowl: 1-0.

I'm sure the pats would trade all their records for another ring.
