Exclamation Get off your butts and donate to the BOMB the DTR server fund!

Come on guys. What's it going to take a DTR telathon? Is Jack going to have to put POP UPs on this site to get your attention???

I just read Jack's post about all the features that are being disabled on the site. I work with lots of database guys and understand everything he is doing...but at the same time it's sad to see some of these things go.

I had asked Jack a good while back about DTR e-mail. He said that it was going to happen in a month. That was right before the site started getting really busy. I assume that is definately out the window now. We can't even attatch pictures anymore because the server can't handle it. What's the site going to be without Shovelhead digging files from God knows where and posting them to make us laugh?

Most of us here like to do our own work on our trucks. Sit down and write down every bit of information that you have got help with from this site and then multiply that by a mechanic's hourly rate. After that, subtract what you actually spent by doing it yourself. After you sit back and say, "WOW!!!! Look at what I saved thanks to the DTR!!!" get off your butt and take some of that extra change and send it to the DTR. If you have PayPal phobia, find out Jacks address and put a check in the mail.

There's no reason we should have limitations on this site. Go and read the recent post about how much money everyone is sinking into their trucks. That's pretty sad when 13,761 members can't all pitch in help the people that indirectly help THEM!

By the way, I'm not trying to be insulting nor did anyone tell me to do this. I think I've spoke with the admins no more than 3 times in the year or two I've been registered here. I just had to see this site grow size-wize...but deteriorate in function due to lack of money which has no reason to happen with some support from the members. I've donated and I'm just a poor college boy.

Now that you're done reading what I have to say, don't scroll down to read everhone else's posts in this thread, or even down to the reply button to tell me to shut up...scroll UP...there's a "Make a Donation" button up there that has your name on it!

If one of the moderators reads this, could you make this a "sticky" at the top of the column?

This issue needs to be resolved sooner than later. This is too good of a site to watch features having to be removed because of lack of support from the membership.

Thank you Jack, and all the admins and mods for everything you do and have done. Thank you I PASS GAS for the "wake up call".

Geesh I get so few opportunities to showcase my talents involving poodles and hula hoops, you could have let me do one show before pulling the plug

The hula-hooping doesn't scare me. It's what he does with the poodles that scares me.

I just sent my donation yesterday. In reality, if everyone gave $1, that over $13k or $5/user = $65k. I work in the IT industry and know that 13k can buy a pretty nice web/database server. As much as this site gives its users, $10 or more is a small amount to donate per year.

Thanks for the great site,

Nick

Thanks Guys! I just noted that you have donated $295.00 to our paypal account in the last 3 days. I am going to post the totals on a regular basis so you can see what you are achieving with your donations.

We really do appreciate the help, and every dollar of it goes to support the site, Jack and I do not take a penney from these donations.

I have been keeping a separate account for them, and once I get them transferred from the pay pal account, and the online store account into the donation account I will post the results.

Thanks again

I will do that and when you receive it, you will finally have enough to put in your 2 cents worth
