Geico

Well, Its 4:30 in the morning and I can't sleep so I decided to give Geico a call and see what they can do for me. They are absolutely right. About 15 minutes on the phone and guess how much I saved a year on my truck insurance?

Yep thats right. Isnt life great.

Now someone give me ideas on how I can make a joke on the forum that I posted in this topic. Something like....I've got good news, I just save $$$ by switching to Geico.

Re:Geico

I have been with them for over 12yrs,they have treated me great. I did send a freind to them and when they asked him if he used radar detectors he said yes,and they would not sell to him,and he went back about 2 months later and they still said no, as if they logged him in thier computer and have banned him for life!! Go figure?? Goodluck Rick

Re:Geico

Guess I'm not going to tell them about my radar detector

How are they claim wise? Is it a big hassle to get them out and give a quote or are they pretty good? Also will this rate go up after my first year even if I still have a clean record? Thanks

Re:Geico

They are great,if you stay with them they will stay with you,My rates did not change as some do after the first quote. Also about 3 years into, the wife had a small fender bender, her fault and no rate change, now some 10 years later,we added oldest daughter, and the rate on the car she was allowed to drive went up 97$ as compared to neighbor's boy,and I know boys are different, his went up 250$ every six months, now to make a long story short, daughter had wreck 1 yr after she was added, the cost went up 74$,not bad and they called and stated if she took driving course they would drop it back, she did and they did too. Re:Geico

cumminsdude - Your insurance must have been REAL high for you to save $860 in 12 months.

I am going to have the wife call them. Maybe we can save a little.

Thanks,

JKE

Re:Geico

I was paying $2600 a year. Now I am only paying $1747 a year with Geico. I'm also going to take a defensive driving course and get it lowered more.

Under 25 for guys - you get slammed... I've got 5 more months, and will hit the 24 mark, and mine should go down about $300 a year...

Re:Geico

I pay 40% less than that for 2 cars and 1 truck with Progressive for a full year and got a 100 off to pay for 6 months at a time.

They were even less then Geico.

I talked to my provider (USAA) about the 25 thing. It's actually 9 years driving expierience. Since most of us started driving at age 16 that comes to age 25 when your rates go down. (16+9=25) Since I started driving at 17 I have to wait an extra year til I am 26 before my rates go down.

WOW! Full cover on the ram, liability & collision (88mazda b2200), full 89 Honda TRX450S, full 96 Ski Do Summit 670=$130 (auto's only)a month Farm Bureau. No claims to speak of and also have home & farm insurance with the same people (helps on the price to have all the eggs in one basket).

Re:Geico

Those of you who have Auto Club available in your area might want to look into them. I pay about 1400/year for full coverage, rental car, unins. deductable waiver and upper limits on liability. No 20% surcharge for 4 wheel drive like most ins. outfits.....

Got rear ended back in June, $6600 damage. I took it to their recommended body shop and didn't like what they had to say, so I took it to my body shop. Fixed better than new and they didn't bat an eye. Waived my deductable 'cause I got hit by an uninsured driver. Still got my discounts for renewal.....

Nope, perfect record. Never been in an accident or gotten a ticket. Been pulled over once but got out of it cause the cop knew my dad ;D

The guy at Geico said "well you have a perfect record and we like drivers like that so let me see what kind of rate I can get you" So I guess its cause I'm 19!
