Gasser question

OK I RELIZE THIS IS A DODGE DIESEL SITE BUT MAYBE SOME OF YALL OUT THERE KNOW SOME ABOUT MY MOTOR AND CAN HELP ME OUT....

I have a 94 F150 302 and the truck has 178K on it...My motor shakes like every other second basicly and feels like it should have more power with the current setup I have with aftermarket products...What should I do to the motor next? Tear it down and clean it or what?

Mods I have are....
FIPK Full Intake w/ filter
AirRaid TB spacer
3"bullet exhaust lightning style
4.10 locker
33" BFG A/T KO

The truck just basicly feels like its being robbed of power....

What happened to the dyno tune you used to have? If your scratching second gear in an auto with 33" BFG's, then you aren't being robbed of power. You really haven't gained much power even with the tune, intake, and exhaust.

If your eng is shaking and low on power, you probably have a dead cyl. Check the plugs and wires and do a compression check first. If that don't help, put a cummins in it!!!

Tyler I had to take the Dyno tune out because I went with 4.10 locker and I havent gotten it reburned yet...$100 to get a custom reburned

I put 8mm wires on shortly after i got the truck and new plugs and I just did a induction cleaner also.

Ok so I have never done a compression check....How do I go about doing this?

Sounds like it is trembling from fear of the next cummins that comes up behind it..

Compression tester can be bought at most any autoparts store. Just go in, and ask for a compression tester. it will have instructions for you to read. Then do a search, and find what the acceptable compression numbers are for your truck.

Also, check for any vacuum lines that may be off or tore. That will cause it to run rough also..

My .02..

I know how your feelin' about your fords, I have owned nothing but until this Cummins(thanks to fords POS6.0). There's nothing I'd rather have more than a new F250 Kingranch Ed. if it came w/a cummins. Too bad! I suggest you join the dark side, buy a cummins, and work on your family relationships so that we can see some new mods for CTDs from Lingenfelter.
