Freedom to Fascism, seen it yet?

I watched it today. It is a film by Aaron Russo about the direction of this great nation. The film is only available for a short time on google video, it is not pirated, but placed there by Mr. Russo. Here is the link

It looks as though the full length version has been replaced with a promo version. Everyone should see this, it is a real wake up call to Americans.

I am waiting for it to buffer. On a similar note about our government, you all should read 'From Freedom to Slavery' by Gerry Spence.
That'll open your eyes.

This is nothing new, I have seen versions of this type of thing floating around for 40 years that I am aware of. Always the same basic theme, IRS is illegal because only Congress can levy and collect taxes...

The funny thing is, people find out the hard way all the time just how real the IRS is. You can attempt to pick the laws and their intent apart daily, but what it all boils down to in the end, we all have to pay taxes.

I am not saying that our govt can't be improved, especially in the way they go about explaining the laws to us. But without taxes, we have no infrastructure and we all count on that every single day.

I could go into more depth here but I have a poker game lined up with Elvis and DB Cooper in the back room of the local Krispy Kreme People love conspiracies, even if they don't make sense

Too bad we don't get an option to actually "pay" our taxes... it's taken from us before we get a chance to do anything productive with the money. Withholdings have made people blind to how much they actually "pay" in taxes...

I pay mine quarterly, I agree it would be nice if we could keep it in the bank and draw interest off it. But if they did that, half of our population would be behind bars because at the end of the year, they would not have the money to pay their taxes.

I pay mine yearly, have for about 5 years now. The money I earn on interest (this year at least) will more than pay for any penalty.

I know quite a few people that do it this way, most of the family, my barber, other business associates. Matter of fact, my accountant recommends it, she also ALWAYS files at least one extension. Probelm with that is I still have to send in within 10% of my total Federal due at that point.

I use my tax account as a safety buffer. If I have an emergency, I have a some funds to work with.

After being at the apartments I was at today I think maybe half of our population should be in jail.
