Unhappy Freak snowstorm

I checked the weather online and watched the weather before heading out on the highway today...no warnings and here is what we ran into...

Is that snow, fog or both?

Thats pretty intense!
If you were in California, something like that would've made you slow down to 70mph!

We pulled off the road in hopes the wind and snow would let up and here is what we saw...this was the weakest at this point looking across the highway.
We were in between the city and a small town...the highway was not yet closed. It was closer to go back to the city or stay on the highway and get buried or even hit.

It just got worse and worse.
When we came into the city, every road out is closed.
We just heard that there are some serious accidents and some fatalities. At one point I came across some vehicles stopped.
They were all lined up diagonally across part of the highway. They thought they were in a straight line along the shoulder.
I was driving at 15KMH top speed.

A lot of people got caught by surprise today.

Blowing heavy snow.
I know about the speed reduction to 70 in CA...then the CB tells about the parking lot up ahead all over the interstate.

To make you feel better it has been cool here today. Don't think it will get past 75.
