Food Poisoning
Folks, I suggest you stay away from the chicken fingers at your local grocer's deli.
It's pushing 1:00AM and I can't keep anything down or in.
Next time, I WILL COOK MY OWN FOOD!
This has to be salmonella or something--- it's pretty wicked.

Hope you get better soon ... drink enough fluid.

I picked up food poisoning at a French restaurant in Southeast Asia. I thought I was going to die. It took me nearly a week to get over it. Hopefully, your domestic variety won't take that long.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

just ride it out, shouldn't take any longer than your standard stomach virus, 24-48 hours. crystal light drink mix always works good for me, to keep from dehydrating. soon, it'll be long behind you (no pun intended), and you'll be making chicken finger jokes.
That's awful. I got pretty ill last summer when I drank a half bottle of gatorade that had been in my bag for at least two weeks. Down for about 24 hours and queesy for another day.
Chicken's bad news if undercooked or crosscontaminated. My sis visited a few years back and spent 3 days between the bathroom and ER...diagnosis, camphylobacter. She remembered making a chicken ceasar and cutting the lettuce on the same board as the chicken breast the night she left for our house. Yay, she'll never make that mistake again! Heal well, Kurt

Well, two Mega-Rolls of Charmin extra-soft later, I think I'm mostly out of the woods.
I kept down some Kashi cereal this morning, and this afternoon, I got 3/4 of an apple.
Now, I just need to let the innards heal a bit. They're feeling like they challenged Bruce Lee to a couple rounds and--predictably-- lost pretty bad.
The particular offender in this case was just some innocent-looking boneless chicken wings at the local grocery store. Sure, they were so old that they were very tough and chewy (should have been my first clue!) but I stuffed them down only to regret it badly.
When in doubt-- spit it out. I would have rather wasted the $3 yesterday than deal with this.
I know this pretty mild FP in the big picture, but any food poisoning feels like hell when you're going through it. I didn't need any IVs or anything this time, so it wasn't THAT bad, though you can't appreciate that until you've passed the worst of it.
