LoL! It is 22:05 here (0705 go forward day zulu time). We have been having many power outages along the coast here this evening (high winds). Its been kind of nice. Wife and I have many candles going. Still have enough power in the old batts for another few hours and its warm enough (29f) that I haven’t had to fire up the generator. We could also be watching the Satellite TV on the Batts but its kind of nice without it. Probably shouldn’t even be using the computer but it was on. Not a bad evening. Hope I don’t stay awake tonight wandering through the halls of DTR. Pretty scary stuff.
Very profound. Hope it doesnt keep me awake tonight.

Bark, we have to stop this generational stuff coast to coast. I fell asleep on the couch at 8PM, already to watch tv with hubby. probably sitting straight up too...
Wish I could share some of your work MAD, but there is no replacing YOU! heheheh here's some 5+ hours.....
ok DTR pots scrubbed, cups boiled and washed- Tim Horton's dark roast is on!
since I had to be up: crisp bacon, waffles with your choice of toppings (over there) mmmmsausage and gravy (biscuits over there) and fresh fruit.
no eggs cause I heard from de janitor(he is still around) and we don't want him grumpy.
heck, if we took Latin, English would be a cinch. very noble language.
if we read about Fronty in the papers then we would know that it was a sign..

Morning everybody! Heidi, thanks for the breakfast, nice of you to share this morning. Hey...........there's a cookie laying there.................nevermind.
Getting ready for 2 days of rain starting later today, snow possible but not probable. I had a little work come up and thought it would start yesterday. I put a truck on standby and call the contractor's super all day. Finally got to talk to him at 1830 and he wants to wait until after the rain, whoopee.
Heidi, I spent an hour or so wondering through the new Tractor Supply in Leeds, Al yesterday while killing time. It's less than 30 minutes from the house. They're having a big one day sale today, if you have the coupon, I have the coupon, I don't have any money.

Almost Nooner DTR!
Busy morning (and weekend for that matter) -22* and sunny. Might need a wind breaker....
We got about 4 inches of snow this weekend and then the temps fell. I did get the Christmas lights up and shoveled the driveway though. Only got the hard pack off the top half but I'll work on the lower sooner or later.
Nice early Christmas present Josh!
I'm Glad I'm not the only one thinking that. I gelled last year between -35* and -40*. I don't usually expect that until at least -45*.
Be careful out there.
Gotta pick up the little one from preschool soon. Back later.

I have no idea how you guys up there treat your fuel to keep it from gelling? It was 6* out the other morning and I was busier than a one legged man in a but kicking contest with gelled up trucks. Most of the TT units I service for gelling do not have arctic packages on them.
Good luck on the promo, I hope you ace it.

Evening all, had a wonderful dinner at the rib place with my family. I told them about the job offer, they were all excited for me. Did a little thinkin today when I was driving around. I'm thinking of keep the 2nd gen instead of buying a newer 3rd gen. I could afford it but with the economy going south I think I might just keep what I have for now and when it starts turning around I'll look for a newer truck. I might just spend the money and fix a few things on it and upgrade the trans since it has the original one with 143K on it. Its a good truck just need a little attention on a few things. I'm gonna go relax a bit, my belly is full from those ribs I had.
Best of luck on the new job, looks like it came around at the right time.
Keep the 2nd gen. The car side of our shop is off the hook with repairs, they can't keep up so I have to keep helping them out. Now I remember why I don't like doing timing belts.
It seems everyone is keeping there cars. I can tell you this, new car inspections is nearly nonexistent, we used to do 20-30 new cars a day, now we are down to maybe 1 every other day, if that!Tim

I serviced 7 trucks for gelling, all but one were parked overnight and not plugged in. Although plugging them in does give them an initial start and run they soon stall from gelled fuel in the tanks. Then it time to break out the heaters. The last truck I did on the interstate was almost out of fuel and he picked up water from somewhere. He wound up getting towed.

From my Latin dictionary, from my Catholic school days. And yes I was "asked to leave and never return", I guess they did not like practical jokes.

Nex- Violent, death. slaughter
Prius- before, formerly
Vestis- clothing, garment, covering, blanket, tapestry.
My personnel interpretation can not be displayed, I may be wrong though.

Mornin' all,
Lite rain in NW Houston, mild temps but cold front moving in.
Been a long time since I have had the good breakroom coffee.
Have had problems with the Cisco wirless router. It is a new one that replaced the one that was in, but both will drop off line for a short time then come back up. Problem is the Prudent Student will get kicked out of the on line college when that happens. Not to big a problem just doing school work, but an exam will get closed out.
Might not get back in the exam.
Solution, hook up to the ATT DSL modem. Now the 100 MBS has spoiled her.
Fronty, I took Latin in hi school.
Favorite Latin phrase, "Illigitimi non carborundum."
Time to head for lunch laddy duty.
Have a good un and be safe out there.
