Mornin all. We had our group Christmas party last night, ooooooohhh boy, I am not 21 any more that is for sure. Lots of food, war stories, and beer. then more beer, bigger war stories accompanied with a lot more beer, .

Had a nice practical joke played on me last night, kudo's to the junior men. It was priceless.

Good evening DTR! Hope everyone had a good friday. Had a decent day at work, didn't do much today. Read in the paper today another local shortline rr like the one i work for laid off 30 workers. That RR handles alot of freight auto companies and the steel industry, looks like they aren't gonna have a good future if the auto industry tanks. Don't have any plans for tonight. Gotta either cook some dinner or go out for dinner to the local pub tonight. The GF is coming over but not till late so it's just me eating tonight. Takin her to Chicago tomorrow for the day, we're goin to the German xmas market, walk around downtown, and eat a nice meal there at either the Rock Bottom Brewery or The Berghoff. Smashed finger is better today, still swollen but not in any throbing pain anymore. The nail is gonna pop off, i can tell from how i smashed it. Gonna go find some dinner and some beer.

Getting ready to trim the Tree. The boy is getting stoked.

 

Trimming the tree was always one of my most fond memories as a kid. Mom always had me help her with the tree the night after thanksgiving (mainly becasue I've been taller than her since the 5th grade). It was always a fun time, still enjoy doing it now with my own tree and the GF.


Made dinner tonight, decided not to go out an eat. I made beef stew tonight, it's been slow cookin' on the stove for a few hrs. Used some steaks chopped up as the meat, came out nice an tender. Got the Box-o-Beer out and started into it tonight. Not going anywhere so drinkin and relaxing is good for me. GF went to the movies with her best friend tonight to see 4 Christmases. Her friend leaves soon for CA for 6 months for a big building and construction project for her work.

Looks like the beverages from earlier today have something growing on them, put some fresh coffee, tea, sweet tea, ph00, cocco, and beer out.

One more day til Vegas. Uncle is flying in town tonight from Montana and driving up with us. His wife is flyin there sunday morning.

Transmission is doing excellent. I love this thing.

Hey all. The boy and I are watching an old mythbusters on the dvr. The boys are in a freezer drinking brandy. And I thought my job sucked.

Son has a LEGO robotics tourney tomorrow. Unless we get snowed out, that is. The team's robot has to accomplish tasks on a table completely autonomously.

Gettig pretty cold here in the NW. Today was windy and rainy, but it is supposed to cool off, snow, then drop into the teens. Teens are pretty cold for us west-coasty-45th-parallelomites.

One week of work left before two weeks off. Hope to get things done around the place. Trim downstairs. Clean-up the carp from my rcc (ramchargercummins) project so I have room to work on my CCC (crewcabcummins) project. It is time to make some progress.
