There's always the old fly powder in the milk trick. Just don't do like my friend and not mention putting it out of reach of cats. His mom put it out and had dead cats everywhere.

This is the same person whose mom told him she had X cats, and when they get back from vacation, there had better still be that many. He called her the second night they were gone and told her he counted four times and had an extra cat so he had to shoot it.

My dog gets ticks real bad too. I went to every three weeks this spring with the frontline, on day 22-23 they'd be back with a vengeance.

Hmmmmm---interesting idea.
Thanks to idiots who don't spay their cats and like to dump them in the country there are a ton of feral cats in my Dads area.
If the cats would kill the squirrels it would be ok.

Oooops, this is starting to remind me of another thread and another hijack. Better get back to the subject of:Fleasbees, knees

Update:
The battle rages on.....
I'm starting to win though.
The main floor is flea free for the past week....finally.
Took everything downstairs with ground or near ground contact and tossed it out in plastic contractor bags.
Found a partial box of milk bone treats (that was wedged behind storage boxes) that looked like they were made of swiss cheese. (I think I found their "all you can eat buffet")

Borax sprinkled on the floor and in the cracks daily, drywall removed up to 24" from the floor in the area that the dog's occupied (they're in the garage until I feel that I've won, or it gets too cold for them out there),
Sprayed wall cavities with Black Flag flea killer.
Vacuumed up a couple of hundred corpses last night.
Went from seeing 70 or so dead fleas every morning to seeing 3 this morning.
Still get the onesie-twosie jump on my white socks after walking in the area for 10 -15 minutes, but nothing like the swarms I saw at the begining.
Just ordered a case of Ultracide area spray to treat the entire floor area.

I'm only about 1/2 step away from borrowing Lary's flame thrower.

I'm thinking they might have brought the 'guests' home when they were at the daughter's over the 4th of July week, and I just didin't notice them until we got home from the Labor Day week and they got REAL hungry with no pups to feast on......
I'll keep a maintenence cleanup schedule downstairs from now on.

Who would have thought you could learn about fleas on DTR.
Hmmm, can you catch fleas from Sheep?
