You probably already know but because of Firefox's popularity its finally getting hit by the bad guys just like Apple is starting to get its hackers. Unfortunately the black hats are always looking for ways to take advantage of a security flaw. The best advice I can give is to stay current on security patches to both the OS and applications (such as Firefox), run a quality active anti-virus/malware protection program, and run a hardware firewall between your computer and the internet. Finally - Be cautious of what you open in email or other stuff such as IM. Many infections are the result of an action a user took because they did not look at what they were opening.

You can do a lot more, but if everyone did these few things, it would make it a lot harder for the black hats.

 

knc77 Too true!. mahdey Yesterdays article wasn’t totally clear on the versions affected. Haven’t had a chance to see if there is an update to the story yet. steelblitekrieg --good thinking but doesnt it make some sites display weird or is it just me.
