as i said before, you do not need a license it is not required [to own a machine gun]. you must have passed the back ground check, pay the 200 dollar transfer fee and get the atf's blessing. but not a license, just a tax stamp on a piece of paper in the end.

It's 200 bucks per class 3 weapon and you will have to send your fingerprints and a picture of yourself to the batf. Everything has to be done by your local sherrif or police department, Then the dealer will have to mail off all your information and you wait for your stamp to come back. You do not get the gun till your paperwork comes back approved. My first one took six months to return. Now that's been a long time ago i don't know what the time limit one is now. I done all my buying years ago, They are waaaay overpriced now, A lot of fun to shoot but you can go through a lot of ammo quick.
