Question Favorite Place In US?

As I was driving down Interstate 90 yesterday through SouthWestern Montana I thought to myself that there aren't too many places that are as pretty as this area of the country.

My favorite scenery in the US is all of Western Montana from Glacier National Park all the way down to West Yellowstone.

I also really enjoy the foothills and mountains of Northern California. From Amador County all the way to Lake Tahoe.

These are my favorite places in the US......What are your's?

Anywhere away from the concrete jungle and people with my bow in hand stalking animals. But I would agree with you that stretch thru MT is incredible

Belgrade, MT. Right off of I-90 about 89 miles before you get to West Yellowstone. It's where I live.

The lady and I are planning a trip to Alaska in the next couple years, but for right now NorCal is my pick.

The Northern California Coast and Redwoods are my favorite scenery, but I would never want to live in the state.

Anywhere!

First of all, as long as I am in the US...I'm happy! It is all beautiful. Free and beautiful! Thanks to those that made it and keep it that way!!! But, I'd have to say my favorite place is my 160 acres, maybe not the prettiest, but the best. A place where I can open my second story door and either watch deer cross my land, see the fish jump in my pond, watch my steers get fat, or pee way down in the dirt and write my name. That to me is my favorite place. And don't think the second story door wasn't a planned deer stand when I built my house last year.... The deck has yet to be built, but it will have a railing about rifle high from a lawn chair! Here's to ya, PETA!!!

#2 My favorite fishing lake in Western Colorado. And NO...I won't tell you the name of it. It's never very crowded there and I don't want a bunch of you Yahoo's showing up while I'm there.

As of now I have to say Northern California and the Tahoe area. Right now I live in the armpit of Texas, the west side of Houston.

WOW! I can use yours almost word for word. I only own 100 acres though. Mine is a 1 story ranch but on the back it's a walk out basement. My deck which is complete. Is about 6 feet off the ground there. A standard deck rail is almost the right height for a rifle rest when shooting from a patio chair. I have dispatched several coyotes and muskrats from it. I've got a 2 acre lake in the back yard. 2 other smaller ponds in the pasture and a 10 acre wetland in the bottom. From my deck I can watch lots of wildlife feeding. Hummingbirds (quite a show when about 30 of them are fighting over 2 feeders) Finch, Turkeys, Ducks, Geese, Deer, Blue and White Herons, Swallows, Kingfishers, Red Tailed Hawks. The Bobwhite Quail I can't see, But I can hear them out in the Prairie Grass.

I am truly a blessed man.
We have a lot of beautiful places is this good old US of A. I remember crossing Wolf Pass in Colorado going West. I thought that area was really nice. But gimme Home Sweet Home.

The driver's seat in my truck, with my Lazy-Boy recliner a close second.

I dunno what my favorite place would be. I love Lake Tahoe and N. California. I also enjoy Colorado, AZ, New Mexico, Pacific NW, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Michigan (mainly the UP). There are too many great places in this country to have a favorite.

http://www.fortdavis.com/ Beautiful country and still in TEXAS. I love camping in the Davis mountain state park. Not a lot of people around to spoil it. If I could make a living there. I would be there.
