Orbit speeds are on the order of mach 20 instead of mach 1. The friction of even thin air at that speed creates considerable heat.
The leading edges of even fighter aircraft have to be pretty heat resistant in case they need to do some high speed low altitude flying.
Felix will probably accelerate to mach 1 in about 35 seconds, then slow down to around 100 mph, or maybe even slower before his chute deploys.

The SR-71 Blackbird spyplane actually leaks fuel while on the ground. As soon as it is airborn it has to get airspeed up to expand its body panels to make the fuel tanks quit leaking, then refuel. And it's official speed is mach3, but by figuring some numbers some pilots have slipped out, it's top speed should be closer to mach 6.
They probably hire a heavy-hauler to transport the guys nads.

ok, let's state the obvious:
the falling dude will have his face rearranged very soon, looks will not matter if he can still speak coherently. use his wallet from now on.....
madhat is poster boy for bald is beautiful, Angie is awesome. he has to have muscles and evil intent to keep her safe.
chaikwa is hairy and has scary lazer green eyes when angry. if you like a wardrobe the same every day of the week with suspenders, his fashion sense will inspire you.
Scottycanuck is cute and cuddly and can lift you and the recliner up at a single sweep. it causes you concern.
Cincy is now very happy with horses. he graduated from sheep. do the math.
Top had John Wayne play him in The GBs movie.... strategic air command wing was brought about by high zone fitted aircraft these guys jumped out of- without any special fittings for cold, O2 supply or reinforced rigid frame bulkheads.... akin to leather helmets for football players. you rock Top!
