Facebook 'Farmville'

Wifey FINALLY deleted her Farmville account this morning.
I'm SO proud of her.

That stupid game became an OBSESSION that ate up 3 to 4 hours of her time every day.
When we have to leave someone's house early because "My crops will wither if I don't get home and harvest them."
Or, "Mary passed me last night and leveled up to 165." the game has ceased to be an enjoyment and became not only a non-paying JOB, but she bought "Zynga Bucks" point cards to "buy" stuff for her "farm".

Anyone else have this experience?

Glad she deleted it.

Nope I've never been on face book. Not my thing.

This kinda reminds me of a topic I heard on some talk show....I didn't verify it. Some dude was on something called Second Life?? and was so involved with having sex with his virtual wife....HIS REAL wife wasn't getting any, and was gonna divorce him.

I am with you Chaikwa. The reason I am not here often during the week is because my DW encourages me very strongly to put down the 'truck ****' and pay attention to her. I have to sleep beside her and not y'all so she wins. I am only on now because she is on the phone with her mother.

I enjoy my FB account. I hate any of the games and farmville. I have deleted a few people because they kept sending me friend requests.

As far as facebook, I think it is a great thing, but you better be a big boy/girl and keep the drama off your page. I am only friends with people I am actually friends with, and the second you cause me trouble, you're out.

It's a great way to chit chat with family, classmates. Only reason I got one, and screw the games.

I could pay em a visit to, but because they live 1200 miles from here, makes it that much more difficult.

Funny part is.... Casa Del Shovelhead is about 30 minutes from Farmville, Virginia.
Yes it's a real town.

YES! Wife has a facebook account that we both use. I swear, a few of our neices must compete with each other to have the most drama in their lives.

My wife has been playing castleville at least an hour a day but luckily she can put it down for months at a time when we are traveling.
They make those games addicting.

The only reason I joined facebook was to see whay my 31 yr old daughter & family are up to with out having to call & be a nuisance.
It has come in handy for connecting with old high school buddies I hadn't been in touch with for the last 37 yrs.
