Face Recognition in a Crowd.

Do you think that this will make the perpetrators think a bit before starting riots? Or maybe they don't think - that is the point.

This is the crowd before the riot in Vancouver.

Put your cursor anywhere in the crowd and double-click a couple of time
and then use the scroll button in the center of your mouse.

You can zero in on one single face. The clarity is unbelievable.

This is the photo taken by Port Moody photographer Ronnie Miranda that appeared
in Tri-City News last Friday (24-June).

This is actually scary. You can see - perfectly - the faces of every single individual
- and there were thousands!

The fact that they can see if your shoes are tied from a satelite 20 miles up should be a clue as to their capabilities.

You can run, but you can't hide! Well, actually, you can run for a little bit, but they'll just "lead" you a little bit longer, depending on your speed!

just to the right of the center street light (between that one and the center one) there is a group of dudes, looks like they have condoms on their heads! LOL

I remember in high school, in the 80's, an issue of popular science showing a series of satellite photos. Started out showing north america, then lead into the wisconsin shoreline, to a guy laying in a park and you could see the time on his watch. I could imagine how much better technology would be today.

was in a briefing room a few years ago, they had spooled up a re con photo of some prime op to show what he looks like as they were talking of some other operation.

sat image of the guy eating outside at a table, talking with another guy. (roomful of people watching this) second guy excuses himself; prime op appearantly has the need to scratch his personals, then continues to eat with his hands (we all groaned) second guy comes back, gestures that the business deal is settled and is going to depart. he kisses the guy's hands in salute as is custom. (we all busted out laughing)

technology still doesn't beat Mom's advice of clean undies and good manners, you never know who is watching....

I've seen sat pictures that could read the date on a quarter...and that was back in the late 80's. Technology is just getting better and better.
