I saw these in the late 80's as a way to shred tires and recycle them, but the idea didn't really take off. I've seen them eat tires, wheels, small aluminium engines, trees, and almost anything that the rotary cutters could take a chunk out of.

The shredder looked to have different cutters than it did before and it looks like it was having a bit of difficulty cutting up the VW bug.

Cars get stripped everyday in Los Angeles quicker that that one did.
Didn’t they use something like that to make Soylent Green wafers?
