Well I've hauled a CAT once before. A little Cat loader with steel tracks, cab and a rear backhoe. Est. weight was 25,000 lbs. Parked just right on the trailer it won't put much weight on the truck and the truck will pull it. Slow going getting going and over hills but it'll pull. Single axle truck would be a little harder but I think with the right trailer and the Cat parked on it right, it would be possible.

As one member posted, I don't see any chains holding it down.

It's either "photo-chopped" or that guy is a bigger moron than they're giving him credit for.

Ahhhh, thanks.

Still the whole picture doesn't look quite right to me.
There's no "squat" in the suspension or the tire sidewalls.

I don't think it could be photo chopped, look at the trees, you couldn't do that. He's got it sitting pretty far back on that trailer. Most of the weight is probably on the trailer. Still though he should have something on that rear hitch to both sides.

like said before, no strain at all on the truck, it's possible to be photoshoped but would take some time... i still think it is...

Stopping is a different matter though.

Jake brake, fully turned up trailer brakes and taking it easy. You can get it stopped, so long as I get a long enough distance. I know the suspension looks funny (a single axle hauling a Cat) but that's a pretty heavy duty trailer and it's taking most of the weight. I bet if he had a side shot you'd see he's pretty much hauling the blade. 24 won't squat that trailer. That trailer's bigger than ours and 25 didn't squat ours and I took more weight on the truck than he is. I had it on backwards and had the backhoe over the gooseneck and the bucket resting on the ramps.

My Dodge would have done it single wheeled. I hauled near that regularly. Whats the big deal? He has the brakes on in the picture, that would send the front down some and level it out.
