does her rig have that black shading on it as well. My 04.5 has it and I think it is a sensor for the automatic rearview mirror. If it does it never interfered with the ez-pass

Oops, her "rig" is a P.O.S 2001 Dodge Stratus.
It does however have a 7" strip of 20% tint.

Ok so where would a good place be to put it without any interference I am not sure where to put this thing. I am wondering who has it and where they put it and if they have had any problems at all with the location.

You can leave it up behind your visor, the only way they won't work is if they are in the aluminum bag they came in. Go slow through one to test different locations but I leave mine behind my folded up visor. I have never had a problem.

The EZ-Pass transponders are RF so tint won't matter. I have mine right over the rear view mirror, but I don't have a wire there since my mirror is plain.

Have mine at the tint border on the left side of the mirror post, the light sensor is on the right side of the mirror...

Mine is in a portable holder with suction cups, and I usually stick it next to the windshield post just over the dashboard - works great in the RAM, the 'stang, and in the Sable.

When I'm on the 'Zook, it works great sitting in the tank bag.

I make a regular run from MD thru the tunnels in 'balmer, on I-95N thru DE and up over the Deleware Memorial Bridge and on to the NJ turnpike. Works great.

I'm not sure about the NJ EZpass website, but in the MD EZPass website there is a short list of vehicles with metal oxide in the windshield that they recommend the use of an external transponder.

Mine is just to the right of the black tinted area behind the mirror. Never a problem with it working and it doesn't appear to interfere with the mirror sensor.

Best thing ever invented as far as I am concerned. Well, besides beer.
