E-Bay Purchase, failure to deliver
Well I am not an E-Bay person by any stretch so I will need to ask for some guidance.
I purchased a shop service manual for my 82 Honda Prelude, with a buy it now purchase and immediately paid for it with Pay-Pal. That was on 28 Aug.
Since that time there has been ZERO response from the seller and based on the method of shipping listed the last day to expect the book is tomorrow. I plan on requesting a refund from E-Bay / Pay-Pal. How tough is this process????

I wish I was as fine, as those who work the pipeline!

I had something similar with my new phone, Once you start the process with paypal (open a dispute) you will probably get a response from the seller. If not you have the option of getting a refund. I have never had to go that far, but the process, although irritating because you have to go through it, didn't seem all that bad. When I did mine, three days later they sent an email telling me that they were sending the missing components.
Either way be sure to leave feedback so others don't have to deal with the scum bag.
Good Luck!!!

I just did this with Paypal and all you have to do is file a complaint through their resolution ctr. The seller was no longer an Ebay user but Paypal got my money back. I never recieved any correspondance from Paypal, I just happened to check my account @3 weeks later and saw that I had a credit. Pretty easy and painless.
What method of shipping were they using? If it was media mail through the USPS I think the shipping estimates are a little optimistic. I hate sellers that don't communicate at all though.
I think you can get contact information including phone number through ebay. You might try that first. If not, the PayPal dispute system isn't too painful. I had to do it once and had my funds back pretty quick.

Six weeks after the purchase and three weeks since I made the dispute and two weeks since I made it a claim PayPal says I will get my money back but I have to wait a week for the funds to transfer from one PayPal account to my PayPal another. That in itself sounds a bit like a scam. Especially when you consider what I write next!!!!
In the mean time, as in last week I found another vendor of service manuals and ordered it and have already received it, order to receipt 5 days. So if anyone ever needs automotive literature for an older car then I would highly recommend Faxon auto literature.

Andy, kindly leave negative feedback for the original vendor.
Gotta say, I look at each vendors feedback before I purchase, and <<< Furiously knocking on wood >>> have never been burnt yet.

I have had no issues with it. But, like you. I also look at the seller/buyers feedback.
