Dumb as a rock
Well I just left work this morning about 4:00 A.M. and I was going home. I figured I would stop at Carl's Jr. and get some breakfast on the way, so I pulled in to the drive through and placed my order. I shut down the engine so I could hear the speaker and then I went to the window. I got to the window and then this kid about 17 opens the window and is looking at my truck like all over and talking but I could not hear him so I shut it off. He said " hey what is wrong with your truck it sounds like it is broken.". then he leans out and reads the fender and ask me" what is a Coomines Torboe mean?" I tried to explain to him it was a 6 cylinder diesel engine and I was getting mileage in the double digits and so on . I don't think he understood anything past when I said it was a dodge. I got my food and left for home. This is scary that this might sometime breed and produce offspring. I have a bad feeling that our future is doomed. It looks obvious that someone has wee-wee'd in the gene pool. Where do these people hide in the daytime?
Funny stuff!!! I had a fling once who went with me to go skydiving. I had never taken her in the truck before and as soon as she heard the turbo whistle she said, "Do you hear that noise? I think your truck is broken!". Now, being the prankster that I am I played this one out all day. Every time she heard it she was asking me "do you hear that noise?, there it is again, don't you hear it?" I kept saying what, hear what, until finally she caught me laughing. Needless to say, I don't consort with that one any more!
In the short time I have owned this truck I bet I have had ten people say "that thing got a Hemi in it?" to which I, with great pleasure, have replied no it has a Cummins Turbo Diesel! I have been asked to turn the truck off several times in a drive through situation he he he.

I was at Walgreen's the other day getting some meds and I happend to be in the second drive through lane and the girl at the window says in a snippy way "um, we usually ask people to turn their trucks of cuz we can't here". I leaned out the window and said "uh? I can't hear you". lol. She just went ahead and filled my order.....................yea, I'm a redneck.

I agree on the Sonic thing... those stalls are way too small for my towing mirrors.
I've been asked, more of a hand gesture actually, by a person several stalls away(at Sonic) to turn off my truck....
