Dually tire height increase.

Dually tire height increase.
New to the group. Thanks for allowing me to join. I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 4 door cab 8' box dually. It has the stock tires Michelin LT 235/80/R17. LTX M/S. They are a highway tire. I'm going to replace at some point this year. I'd like a more aggressive tread without too much road noise. I'm considering going to a taller tire. Not extreme. Just for a better look and I thought it might lower highway rpms a bit. I should mention my drivetrain is a 5.9L Go with a 6 speed manual transmission. I don't want to shoot myself in the foot as my fuel mileage is excellent. I average actual MPG just under 20. Any input is welcome from any experience.

I have an 04.5 and I run the 10ply bfg's There are those that don't like those tires, but they last longer on my truck than most tires. I don't know what your truck is geared, but if you tow going taller may affect it. Also make sure whatever tire you go with that the duals do not touch, they may balloon out at the ground especially when loaded depending on how the tire roll out is.

Thank you. I only tow on occasion. My current tires are load range E. I'll look into my gear ratio. Don't know it off the top of my head

There is a bfg KO2 in a 255/80/R/17.
I've never used them. Too aggressive for me.
i know a few folks that have and like them.
If there was a 255 in a less aggressive tread, I'd consider it.
