Foggy this morning. Nice spike hanging out in the yard cooling down. Big load(20 yd) of free granite rocks (6" - 8") needing something done with. Whole body hurting. Ain't it great when the activities of your youth start catching up with you? Got to love capsasin and horse liniment.
How well does granite hold up to heat? Thinking about using it, with a firebrick liner, for the syrup furnace. I know concrete will shatter, but with granite being an igneous (formed from fire, volcanic type) rock, would it hold up as well as brick?

Only thing that's 'good' there is the bacon! Shrimp is just ocean bugs. And eggs... well, I won't even go there!

Mornin' all,

Houston, 61*F ..LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL POSSIBLE THIS MORNING ACROSS SOUTHEAST TEXAS...Lot of it last night, loud clouds and light show.

Score so far:
Murphy 6, Davey 1
Wannbe, great job on the breakroom.
Time for Shovelhead to post a motavational poster they are always great.
CIN the landing area is ready. Looking for the goodie drop

SR, think granite is ok with heat, but like any rock, if it is cracked, and has water in it, when it gets hot, BOOM.
HAT, good pix of all at the ball last week, funs over, get busy, and be nice to the bigfoot.

Geico, any pix from your flight? How did it go?
Mexstan, enjoy the sunrise, when I was in Mexico this past spring, I would get up in time to be at the beach for the sunrise.

ChrisR, I with you on the BBQ ribs. Yum, Might put a rack or two in the smoker when I do the turkey and smoked turkey necks this year.
Chaikwa, do the leaves with a snow blower, take care of 2 problems at
once,
JD730, that venison have not had any in years.
Milkmaze, get ready, turkey day be here soon.

Hoping for a better week than the last two weeks. Looks like some things will be resolved this week. But don't expect it to be what we would like. Nuff said.

Have good un and be safe out there.

CIN! great to see you and all the new faces- make sure a goodie hits Mikmaze as he is slow to see the free banquet this week.....
btw, thanks for the 100 calorie chocolate animal crackers you sent! perfect for me TRYING to waste away like T Rad......as I said, t r y i n g .....LOL

went to a fundraiser last night, had a blast with play money. even better were the people, everyone scared to gamble but having a great time!
we did the 'wave' at the blackjack table if someone got a natural 21...
husband sleepy from hunting, we missed out on the auction items (you bid with the playmoney)!! very nice gifts, some friends won some great $200 dollar items! all monies benefitted the hospital a few miles from me.
a fellow gently grabbed my hand and kissed it, he was dressed as James Bond and introduced himself as such...I about died- exact image and voice of Sean Connery......

Butter, yes, sugar, no... Maybe you'd like some cream of wheat? Grits are supposed to be salty. The shrimp and grits is something that l learned up here in S.C. They are very good, especially when my sweet wife makes them...
